Joe’s Story
It started at zero. Actually, below it.
Before property, there was the accident. The photo further down this page isn’t stock — that’s Joe, strapped to a spinal board in a neck brace at the side of the road, waiting to find out how bad it was. What followed wasn’t a montage. It was a long, slow recovery: no income, no plan, no safety net. Life stripped back to zero.
Then came the part people find hard to believe: from that zero, Joe built a multi-million-pound property portfolio — without using a penny of his own money. No inheritance. No lottery deposit. Other people’s capital, raised on trust and structured properly, on deals strong enough to deserve it. That skill is the entire reason Built From Nothing exists.
Today Joe leads the brand, the marketing and the training side of Built From Nothing — documenting the journey as it happens and working directly with the people coming through behind him.

We keep this photo on the site for one reason: so nobody mistakes this brand for another polished highlight reel.
The suits, the deals, the numbers — they came later. First came the floor. If you’re starting from a hard place, you’re not behind. You’re at the same starting line this whole thing was built from.
Then Came The Partnership
Two minds. One mission.
Tom’s story runs parallel to Joe’s: build it from nothing, then prove it wasn’t luck. He built his first business from a standing start and sold it — a full exit, done properly, before most people get a first venture off the ground.
From there he worked with Joseph Valente, winner of The Apprentice UK, then built a large consultancy of his own — helping business owners across the UK scale, and generating millions in combined revenue growth for the people he’s worked with.
You’ll find him on stage, in the press, and in rooms most people can’t get into — figures like Nigel Farage, Dragons’ Den investors and Alfie Best Sr. sit within his network of connections.
That’s Tom’s claim to fame, parallel to Joe’s: build it, sell it, then partner with major established operators and investors. Inside Built From Nothing he runs sales, finance, client funding and partnerships — Joe builds the system, Tom gets it over the line.
